It is a highly effective probiotic feed additive, that is mainly aimed at inhibition of pathogenic microflora (clostridiosis, colibacillosis, salmonellosis).
- Antibacterial effect. Stimulation of antitoxin A secretion in the intestine, which is produced in response to exposure to pathogenic microorganisms. Microbial toxins tend to bind in the intestines.
- Antimicrobial effect.Antagonistic effect due to the ability of Saccharomyces boulardii to inhibit the growth of pathogenic and opportunistic microorganisms that disrupt intestinal biocenosis.
- Antitoxin effect. Specific system composed of 54-kDa Serine protease secreted by S. boulardii is able to break down toxic molecules. This provides additional protection thanks to the mechanism of binding of toxins to the yeast cell surface.
- Antisecretory effect. Reduction of intestinal secretion of water and electrolytes.
